Adglow seeks a new Global Inbound Marketing Manager to join our global marketing department and take our existing content marketing programme to the next level.
In 2018 our content marketing programme delivered some great results for Adglow - helping to raise our profile and generate some leads for our sales teams around the world. But we know we can do better, and it will be the mission of the incoming Global Inbound Marketing Manager to push the envelope.
Below are the answers to some questions we think you might have at this stage:
Who is Adglow and what does Adglow do?
Adglow is a global social & digital advertising company offering technology and services that solve business challenges for its clients. Our HQ is in Madrid, Spain and we have offices in countries around the world. We’re a globally accredited marketing partner to Facebook, Instagram, Amazon, Twitter, Snapchat, and Pinterest.
What are the best things about working at Adglow?
Our CEO is a self-professed anarchist, and that’s reflected in the culture of the business which is open, entrepreneurial, and rewards initiative. We make a point of hiring nice people. We work with some of the biggest and most recognisable tech companies in the world - our partners - and some of the best-loved brands around - our clients. To get more of a flavour of what we’re all about, have a look at our YouTube channel.
Why should I be interested in this job?
Here are 3 reasons:
The global marketing team is driving positive change in the business which is recognised by our colleagues and supported at the highest levels of management.
We have invested in the market-leading tools to help our content marketing efforts, and are fully paid-up members of the society of inbound-marketing true-believers.
This position will give you the scope and autonomy needed to get great results and make your own mark on what we do.
What duties are involved?
In the average day, you might do any combination of the following: spend time coaching and mentoring your junior reports (x2 marketing executive); draft written content for whitepapers, guides, videos, podcasts, webinars or anything else you like; proof and edit copy from the rest of the organisation; work in Hubspot configuring landing pages, email workflows and more; spend time meeting with and coordinating with local market country managers to help them get more from inbound in their own territory; devising and enacting, with the team, your plans for improving results from inbound marketing.
What skills and aptitudes are you looking for in this hire?
Above all else, you must be someone who is not territorial and who works well in an open, collaborative, communicative way. This is not a position for a lone wolf.
We need someone who is obsessed with the written word - someone who understands the value of the details, knows how to punctuate and spell with total accuracy, and appreciates that words matter. Because of the nature of the position, it’s very likely the successful applicant will be a native English speaker.
It would also help if you’ve worked in B2B content marketing before, ideally using Hubspot or similar marketing automation tools. And if you haven’t already managed staff before, you’ll at least need to demonstrate strong leadership qualities.
Who else is in the global marketing department? Who will I be working with?
You’ll be reporting to the VP Global Marketing, who owns global marketing strategy for Adglow. You’ll have 2 Marketing Executives (Spanish copywriting, and content promotion) as direct reports. And you’ll work in the global marketing team which also comprises a Product Marketing Executive, a Videographer, and a Graphic Designer. We are a small, close-knit team that hangs out together, looks out for each other, and relies on each other for our mutual success.
What kind of person succeeds at Adglow?
Folks from all backgrounds come to Adglow and succeed because they work hard, engage with the business, and are proactive in making things happen.
As a business, we like to hire people who are friendly, open, honest, and want to push themselves to greater things. We are not a business that does well supporting big egos or the thin-skinned.
I’m interested. What should I do next?
That’s awesome. If you think we fit the bill, and that you could be what we’re looking for, then please send your CV, a recent example of some B2B content that you wrote from scratch, and a covering letter explaining who you are and why you think you’re our next Global Inbound Marketing Manager.
