Once again we joined forces with Facebook Iberia to host the second edition of our Social Media Hackathon on Saturday, 13th April.
The main theme of the event was to come up with creative solutions to improve the management of creative assets on social media in order to achieve better results on digital advertising campaigns.
The challenge was launched with Facebook’s backing and took place at their Madrid HQ. At Adglow we are proud to be Facebook’s tech and commercial partner – the first ones to bear that title in Spain – as well as to carry Official Partner status on the platform. We couldn't have asked for better support!
Our 50+ participants got together for over six hours, forming groups with mixed expertise – from software dev and product to data management and visualisation and social media advertising – ultimately making this edition an even bigger success than the previous one.
Check out how it all went on our video below:
The winning team was announced by our jury, formed by Paolo Picazio (Partner & Ecosystem Development SEMEA at Facebook), Karen Chui (Creative Platform Partner Manager at Facebook) and Javier Galilea (Comms and Marketing Director at Adglow Spain).
Ricardo Navarro, Adglow’s Chief Product Officer de Adglow declared that
“For Adglow it’s an honour to be able to renew our commitment to innovation from a more open point of view, with the participation of profiles from outside our organisation. We work very closely within Facebook and Instagram’s ecosystem, and this kind of events highlights our robust relationship."
For the Spanish speakers amongst you, we also gathered a group of industry experts on our podcast channel to speak about Hackathons, their evolution and impact. Have a listen!
